Hi all! I am back! March 13, 2016
Hi all! I have been away from blogging since returning to the USA September 5, 2015. So, just about right on 6 months now! I have been on a few trips since returning but I have not posted them. I think I needed a little break. But today I was thinking about Paris and how my life has changed and decided to check back into my blog. Mind you, several people have asked me when I would start blogging again and that they missed my "presence" on the internet but, up until now, I couldn't bring myself to get back into this. Heck, it's a little more work than I anticipated when I started. Now, when I post, I am so much more fussy about my pictures being good and editing my post, several times, in fact, before I post it.
Anyway, I came to the site and I was amazed! I looked at how many pageviews I have had since the inception of my blog and I had over 1,700 pageviews!!!! I couldn't believe it! So, then I had to see who was viewing my blog. I couldn't believe that either! Here is the list of the countries that have people that are visiting my blog: USA, of course, my friends I told about my blog, but also, Sweden, I could understand that also because I went to Sweden and met people and gave out my business cards, but also, Denmark, Norway, Canada, Russia, Ukraine, France, again, of course, the UK, Turkey, Romania, Poland and Singapore!!! How the heck did all these people here about me?
So here's my answer. Compound interest! Yes! Like they say with money doubling over time, my blog is growing too! So, I think I have a little catching up to do because I don't think I posted Brugge, Belgium, and since returning to the USA I have been to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Tacoma, Washington, and I am off to Mexico City and San Luis, Mexico in a week, then I will start posting again.
So, did I tell you why I am posting at all?? In the first place, friends wanted to follow my travels in Europe. But, I guess it is in the second place, a lot of people around the world are stressed and worried about the world and what is happening. I decided that my little blog could be a little reprieve from some of the heavier ideas and concepts that are out there and maybe, just maybe, you could have a few moments to see, through my eyes, how incredibly beautiful and awesome this world is that we have to live in. I'm rambling so I think I will stop here but stay tuned! I'm back at it!
