Guanajuato, Mexico

Guanajuato, Mexico - A Spanish Colony April, 2016

So, while in Mexico with my niece and her husband we visited Guanajuato, Mexico. Guanajuato, according to Wikipedia, is one of the 31 Free and Sovereign States of Mexico (with 1 Federal State equaling 32). The "State" of Guanajuato consists of 48 municipalities with the capital city being Guanajuato. That is where we visited, the capital.

This is the beautiful city of Guanajuato from on top of the hill looking down on the city.

Here is a closer up shot of the church called ____.

And this is a statue that is also on top of that hill. It is a statue of __________.

Guanajuato has a distinctly Spanish feel whereas, San Miguel had a distinctly Mexican Style.

There is so much art and Spanish style here.

Here is the Teatro Juarez performing arts theatre where the exterior is

There was a mining camp and transportation system underneath this city.

And what Spanish style city would be complete without a statute of Don Quitoxe!

I guarantee you will not be disappointed. A beautiful city. So glad I got to see it and experience the lifestyle here!
